Dehradun – On the initiative of the NSS unit, students of DD College, Nimbuwala, conducted a river cleaning and worship event at Tons River to promote environmental awareness and water conservation. The program, led by NSS Officer Mayank Bangari and supported by environmentalist Dwarika Prasad Semwal, aimed to encourage students and the local community to take responsibility for protecting natural resources.

The event included a cleanliness drive along the riverbanks and a water puja to highlight the cultural and ecological importance of water bodies. Students actively participated and spread awareness about sustainable practices. This initiative is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to connect youth with nature and inspire positive environmental actions.
