Law Students Visit Dehradun District Jail for Educational Exposure

Dehradun – Students of the Law Faculty at D.D. College visited the District Jail, Suddhowala, as part of an educational tour. During the visit, Jailor Pawan Kumar Kothari briefed students about jail administration and various reformative programmes conducted for inmates.

Students learned that prisons are not just centers of punishment but also play a key role in rehabilitation and reform. They were informed about skill development initiatives like carpentry, handicrafts, tailoring, and cooking, which help inmates become self-reliant after release.

The visit provided practical insights into the criminal justice system and helped students understand how correctional facilities contribute to social reintegration.
